Is your company listed? How to check, correct or remove it
If your company was registered at Companies House recently it will be in Salenovo's data, because every new UK company is. This page explains what we hold, where it came from, and how to have it changed or taken out. Removal is free, takes one email, and is honoured within five working days.

What we hold about a company
- From the public register: the company's name, number, date of incorporation, company type, SIC codes and registered office address — the same facts anyone can see at find-and-update.company-information.service.gov.uk. We do not hold director names, dates of birth, home addresses or persons with significant control.
- From your own website, if you have one: a sentence on what the business does, a generic contact mailbox if your site shows one (info@, hello@, enquiries@ — never a named person's address), and whether the phone number shown is a landline, mobile or non-geographic number. Our crawler identifies itself as
SalenovoBot, obeys robots.txt and reads only the home, contact and about pages. - From other public data: the local authority of the registered office, whether the company is on the ICO's fee-payer register, and whether a food business is registered at its address with the Food Standards Agency.
- Our own labels: a score and band (A–E) for how likely the company is to become a trading business, an entity type (operating business, property vehicle, holding company and so on) and a sector.
Who sees it: firms that subscribe to a weekly list for your council, region or the UK — typically accountants, insurance brokers, web agencies and suppliers — under terms that oblige them to contact you only for business purposes, to say who they are, and to stop when you ask. Company names and numbers also appear on the public page for each council on this site.
To be removed
Email hello@salenovo.com with your company number (or exact registered name) and one of these requests:
- "Remove my contact details" — we withhold the website, mailbox, phone and premises details for your company from every list. The public-register facts stay, as they are public in any case.
- "Remove my company entirely" — we leave your company out of every list, digest, spreadsheet and page on this site from the next build onwards.
- "Correct this" — tell us what is wrong (usually the description of what the business does, or a mailbox that is no longer in use) and we fix it.
Sending the request from an address at your company's own domain, or from the mailbox we hold, is enough to confirm it comes from the company; otherwise we may ask one question to make sure. We act within five working days and confirm by email. Removal is permanent unless you ask us to reinstate you. It cannot reach lists that subscribers have already received, but subscribers are required by our terms to honour a "stop" from you and to tell us, and we then suppress your details for everyone.
To keep our crawler off your website ahead of time, add this to your robots.txt:
User-agent: SalenovoBot Disallow: /
If a Salenovo subscriber has contacted you
The firm that emailed or called you is responsible for that contact; reply "stop" to them and they must not contact you again. Please also tell us at hello@salenovo.com — say which firm and roughly when — so that we can suppress your details for every other subscriber and take it up with the firm if they are not following the terms.
Your rights
Where information about your company identifies you personally, you have the rights set out in our privacy notice, including the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests, which is what a removal request is. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, though we would rather hear from you first.
