What the Companies House register says when you follow every company through to what became of it. Each piece is published here with its chart, its data and a ready-made citation, and stays at the same address. Free to quote with attribution.

PubsBritain has fewer pubs than in 2019, but 29,000 more people employed in them (Great Britain, 2024). Pubs aren't closing any faster than before the pandemic, four in five are now run by a company, and the established ones went bust about half as often again in 2023 to 2025 as in 2019.27 October 2026What Britain starts nowBritain registered a fifth more companies in 2025 than in 2019, and the rise was online shops and property vehicles. We publish the Formation Index on the first of each month and research pieces as they're ready; pieces with a news line are offered under embargo to the press beforehand.

The release, the chart as a PNG and the data as CSV for any piece; a cut of any figure for a region, a council or a constituency, usually within the day; and a named source for the analysis.
