New companies in HD

The HD postcode area saw 53 new companies incorporated in the week of 19 October to 25 October 2026, about the same as the year-earlier weekly average (adjusted for companies dissolved since). About 21 of them are expected to trade, judging by what happened to similar companies. Rising this week: Business support, Retail & wholesale. Among companies formed in the last 8 weeks, 33 already have a website verified as theirs and 10 have registered food premises.

Of the 4,701 companies formed in the HD postcode area between January 2022 and September 2023 at their own address, 53% were still on the register three years later and 37% had filed trading accounts (UK: 51% and 35%). Most of the rest never traded: they missed their first confirmation statement and were struck off at about seventeen months.
