New companies in HU

The HU postcode area saw 60 new companies incorporated in the week of 19 October to 25 October 2026, 10% below the year-earlier weekly average (adjusted for companies dissolved since). About 25 of them are expected to trade, judging by what happened to similar companies. Rising this week: Finance & insurance, IT & media, Property. Among companies formed in the last 8 weeks, 39 already have a website verified as theirs and 18 have registered food premises.

Of the 6,211 companies formed in the HU postcode area between January 2022 and September 2023 at their own address, 46% were still on the register three years later and 33% had filed trading accounts (UK: 51% and 35%).
