London saw 4,930 new companies incorporated in the week of 7 September–13 September 2026, 1% above the year-earlier weekly average (counting companies still on the register). About 1,805 of them are expected to trade, judging by what happened to similar companies; 37% were registered at a mass-formation or virtual-office address. Rising this week: Mining & quarrying, Water & waste, Energy. Among companies formed in the last 8 weeks, 602 already have a website verified as theirs and 44 have registered food premises.
